Like many people, I want the best for my family. But as life gets busier and opportunities take us further from home, I kept asking myself the question millions of people ask every day: how do I know my loved ones are okay when I can't be there?
The idea came from my concern for my own mother. There were moments when I simply wanted to check in, remind her of something important, hear how she was doing, or let her know I was thinking about her.
Phones and messaging apps exist, of course. But they assume everyone is comfortable with technology, always has a charged phone nearby, and remembers to answer.
Who will be there for my mother when I am not?
I realised families don't just need another communication tool. They need reassurance. They need peace of mind. They need a simple way to stay connected to the people they love most.
That is when CareBox was born.
From one family to millions
What began as a personal worry quickly became a much larger vision. Children move away for work. Parents grow older. Families live in different cities, countries and continents. Yet the love and responsibility we feel for each other never disappear.
CareBox is my answer to that. It's more than a device. It's a bridge between families and the people they care for, one that helps people stay independent while still feeling connected, supported, remembered and cared for.
No one should feel isolated simply because the people who care about them live far away.
A voice message from a daughter overseas. A reminder from a son thousands of kilometres away. A wellbeing check-in from a caregiver. Future technology that spots when support might be needed. Every feature in CareBox exists to strengthen the connection between people.
Technology that connects devices is everywhere.I want to build technology that connects hearts.
